Discover the charm of Australian Cavapoos

Welcome to Ramirez Family Doodles, where we introduce you to the delightful Australian Cavapoo. Learn why these intelligent and loving dogs make the perfect addition to any family.

The "couch-potato Einstein"

Australian Cavapoos are truly special. They inherit the fast learning and intense loyalty of the Aussiedoodle, but the sweet, placid, companion-only nature of the Cavalier completely softens that working-dog drive. This blend creates the ultimate family companion: incredibly smart, easy to train, and perfectly content to chill on the sofa.

Your cheerful furry shadow

Living with a Toy Australian Cavapoo—often called a Toy Australian Cavoodle, is very much like having a permanent, cheerful, furry shadow. Because they combine the gentle, people-pleasing nature of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with the sharp intelligence of the Poodle, their personality is highly companion-focused. They thrive on being part of the family and will eagerly participate in your daily activities, from cuddles on the couch to playful romps in the yard. Throw in the beautiful guardian the Australian Shepherd offers and this combination makes the perfect pocket sized companion.

Our commitment to healthy, happy puppies

At Ramirez Family Doodles, we go above and beyond to ensure our Australian Cavapoo puppies are healthy, happy, and ready for their new homes.

Genetic health testing:

  • We test all our parent dogs for over 236 genetic conditions to ensure no puppies are at risk for anything before we proceed to breed them.
  • We test for hip and elbow dysplasia.
  • We test for blindness and deafness.
  • Health and temperament are the main focus of our program. ♡

Start potty training:

  • We start potty training at 4 weeks old and really increase this from 6-8 weeks.
  • Most people think puppies are just puppies and cannot learn until 8 weeks, but that is false. Dogs age 7x faster than humans, so we start saying "good potty" from birth so they know the words good and potty.
  • At 4 weeks, we introduce a blanket and tell them "bad potty" when they go on the blanket. From 6-8 weeks, we increase the blanket and decrease the pee pads so they learn to pee only on the pads and play and cuddle on the blanket.
  • When they go to their furever families, they have a solid foundation for whatever potty training method you plan to move forward with. These dogs are excellent!
